title
Approval of and authorization to purchase (4) New 2023 Mustang Mach-E passenger cars, pursuant to the Oklahoma State purchasing contract SW035
End
Background:
On May 9th, 2023, the INCOG Board of Directors approved modifying the previously approved CMAQ grant to allow for the purchase and use of Electric Vehicles in place of Autonomous Electric Vehicles.
The City of Broken Arrow will provide all of the local participation money for the project in an amount from a non-federal source of funds. In the event of the Electric Vehicles falling into disrepair or unused due to an accident or other event, 80% of the residual value will be used to purchase a similar vehicle by the city in a reasonable time or that residual value will be remitted to INCOG for future allocation. The program is to improve mobility for seniors and individuals with disabilities by removing barriers to transportation services and expanding the transportation mobility options available.
This request is to purchase four new all electric 2023 Ford Mach-E passenger cars. The request to purchase includes an additional warranty for 60 months/75,000-mile Premiumcare by ESP warranty. Pricing is provided utilizing State Contract SW035. Municipal agencies throughout the State of Oklahoma can purchase vehicles at the state contract price, which is advantageous to the City of Broken Arrow by allowing purchases at lower prices.
