Background:

The Broken Arrow Justice Center is located at 2304 South 1st Place, Broken Arrow, OK 74012.  It was constructed in 2003 as part of the 2000 GO Bond.  In 2018 the voters of Broken Arrow approved additional funds for renovation and expansion of the existing jail facilities inside the Justice Center.  Renovations to the facility could include improvements to the kitchen, the electronic security and HVAC units as well as expansion of the housing units.

In January 2025, City Staff received Statement of Qualifications from four (4) Construction Management companies. A selection committee that consisted of staff from Engineering and Construction Department and the Police Department unanimously selected Myers-Cherry Construction to provide Pre-Construction Services and Construction Management on the Jail Expansion and Renovation project.

City staff negotiated an agreement with the Myers-Cherry Construction Inc. to provide Pre-Construction Services.  The agreement is for $15,000.  There will be a future Amendment to this Agreement which will include the Guaranteed Maximum Price for the infrastructure improvements.
