Acceptance of the Gold Award for Tucson Street Widening from Aspen Avenue to Elm Place from American Public Works Association (APWA), Oklahoma Chapter

Background:
Guy Engineering, the City’s Professional Engineering Consultant for the design of Tucson Street from Aspen Avenue to Elm Avenue, submitted the City’s project to the State of Oklahoma Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA) for recognition. In May 2015, City staff was notified that our Project won the APWA Gold Award for Transportation Projects Under Five (5) Million Dollars in Construction. The State chapter award automatically enters the project into competition for a national APWA award, which will be decided later this year. This is a tremendous honor for all partied involved and reflects on the City’s dedication and commitment to better the community.
Representatives of Guy Engineering, Paragon Contractors, and City Engineering and Construction Department will join the Mayor in accepting the award.
