Background:
In April the governing body approved a design agreement to evaluate conceptual design alternatives for intersection improvements at the 20th and Hillside intersection. The conceptual design alternatives have been submitted and reviewed by staff and they are as follows:
1) Signalization without geometric improvements
2) Signalization with geometric improvements
3) Single lane roundabout
To move forward with final design plans, a design amendment is required. Staff negotiated said amendment based upon design alternative 2 (signalization with geometric improvements) with the design consultant and recommends approval.
Cost: $130,700.00
