Background:
The Fire Department budgeted $160,000 in the Fiscal Year 2026 Sales Tax Capital Improvement budget for the purpose of purchasing structural firefighting personal protective gear. The Fire Department needs to replace turnout gear for personnel which has reached the end of its usable service life and/or is unrepairable.
