Approval of and authorization to execute Amendment Number One to the Site Use/Lease Agreement between the City of Broken Arrow and Sprint Nextel

Background:
Sprint Nextel currently leases tower space on the 170' free standing tower located on the east side of Tiger Hill. Sprint Nextel has made the request to modify their current equipment that is located on this tower. As part of this modification they will be removing 6 runs of 1 5/8" coax cable which will remove substantial loading from the tower.
Sprint Nextel's current lease rate is $2,300.00 per month. A monthly increase in rent of $225 has been negotiated with Sprint Nextel for this lease modification. Staff recommends approval of Amendment Number One.
