Background:
The City of Broken Arrow Services Contract with Broken Arrow Seniors, Incorporated is an annual contract that is up for renewal. The term of this year’s contract is July 1, 2018 and expires June 30, 2019. Compared to previous years, no significant changes have been made to this contract.
The contract provides $4,674.50 per month or $56,094.00 per fiscal year to Broken Arrow Seniors, Incorporated for providing educational, recreational, social, and nutritional programs for senior citizens in the City of Broken Arrow. Funds have been budgeted in the Parks and Recreation Department for Fiscal Year 2019. Pursuant to the contract, Broken Arrow Seniors, Incorporated must employ a full-time person to coordinate its activities.
The primary focus of the Broken Arrow Seniors, Incorporated is to promote healthy aging through diverse programming for senior citizens within the community. The Senior Center provides many opportunities for recreation, self-help, companionship, and wellness.
