Consideration, discussion and possible preview of an ordinance amending Section 3.1 (Table 3.1-1), Section 3.2.C, and Section 10.3.D.4 of the City of Broken Arrow Zoning Ordinance to accommodate Micro Food and Beverage Production

End

On May 3, 2016, the City Council approved the recommendation from Planning Commission and Staff to amend the Zoning Ordinance to allow Micro Food and Beverage Production in certain areas of the City.  The Council further directed Staff to prepare an Ordinance for preview and adoption.

As recommended, “micro food and beverage production” would be an allowable use in the mixed use districts (NM, CM, DM, and DF) and commercial districts (CN, CG, and CH), with a Specific Use Permit.  In addition, this use would be allowed, by right, in the IL and IH districts.  The parking requirements would be those listed in Table 5.4.2 of the Zoning Ordinance.

Attached is the preview Ordinance, changing Section 3.1 (Table 3.1-1), Section 3.2.C, and Section 10.3.D.4 of the Zoning Ordinance (Ordinance #2931).  Staff recommends that the Council preview the Ordinance and set it for adoption at the next meeting.
