Background:
The Fleet Department has budgeted for the purchase of one (1) 77,000 lbs capacity vertical rise lift, which will be installed in the new Quick Service Fleet building. This lift will be used for servicing city-owned vehicles and equipment. To streamline the purchasing process, it is recommended to utilize the State Contract, which has already undergone a competitive procurement process through the State of Oklahoma.
This process ensures the best pricing for State Departments, Boards, Commissions, Agencies, Institutions, as well as Counties, School Districts, and Municipal entities in Oklahoma, while meeting the required competitive bidding criteria. By using the State Contract, the City of Broken Arrow can avoid the time and costs associated with the traditional bid process.
The attached quotation provides the base pricing and selected options for the 77,000 lbs. capacity vertical rise lift. The Fleet Department recommends accepting the quote from Mohawk Lifts LLC. Maintenance Services supports this recommendation, emphasizing the advantages of using the State Contract to secure both cost savings and efficiency.
