This item comes before the Council to advise of out-of-state travel by City Council members for July 2024:
Women in Municipal Government Summer Conference: This event brings together women in local government learn about local policy issues, discuss federal advocacy concerns, expand network with female elected officials and statewide leaders, strengthen governance skills, explore creative solutions to challenges experienced in your communities.
On July 16-21, 2024, Mayor Debra Wimpee, Vice Mayor Christi Gillespie and Council Member Lisa Ford are traveling to Hollywood, Florida to attend this conference.
Cost: Approximately $6,500
