Background:
This project is to replace a failing storm sewer pipe that has caused damage to citizen’s property along Dallas Street from 2nd to 5th streets. The project will start at the headwall in Haskell Park, cross 5th and Dallas Streets, and finish in a drainage channel south of Dallas Street. The project will replace a 24” corrugated metal pipe with a 36” HDPE storm sewer pipe. A drop inlet will also be added to catch additional runoff from S 4th Street.
The project was advertised on May 14, 2024 and May 21, 2024. Five (5) bids were received on June 4, 2024. The lowest responsible bid was Envision Civil Contractors, LLC for $223,044.00. The engineers estimate for the project was $349,836.00.
