Background:
On March 21, 2023, Broken Arrow City Council approved and authorized the Engineering firm, BKL, Inc., to design roadway, stormwater and water for an Innovation District (Arrow Forge) located south of Florence Street between Olive Avenue and Aspen Avenue. As part of this project, BKL, Inc. sub-contracted Holloway, Updike and Bellen, Inc. to design a lift station and associated gravity sanitary sewer and force main. The Innovation District (Arrow Forge) sanitary sewer portion of the project includes the lift station, 2,945 feet of force main, 2,391 feet of gravity sewer and associated appurtenances.
Engineering and Construction Department staff (E&C), working in conjunction with Holloway, Updike and Bellen, Inc., prepared final plans and bid documents for bidding. The project was advertised on April 30th and May 7th, 2024. Six (6) bids were received and opened on May 21st, 2024. The Certified Bid Tabulation is attached. The lowest responsible bidder was Cook Consulting with a total bid of $2,111,729.29. The Engineers Estimate for the project is $2,588,930.00.
