Background:

The attached Resolution and Notice of Election provides the statutory Notice of a Non-Partisan General Election scheduled for Tuesday, April 1, 2025. This Notice establishes that the filing period and will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, February 3, 2025, and will end at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. Contests of candidacy may be filed until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2025. The Resolution identifies Ward 1, Ward 2, Ward 3 and Ward 4 Councilmembers as the subject of this General Election, and notes that the term of Ward 1 and 2 is for four years and for Ward 3 and 4 is for a two-year term expiring in 2027.
