Approval of and authorization for the sole source purchase of 11 Naviline Mobile Data Brower Client Licenses, 25 Naviline Field Incident Reporting Licenses, and 36 License Maintenance agreements from SunGard Public Sector for police mobile data solution

Background:
SunGard Public Sector is the Police Department’s sole provider for its field reporting, computer aided dispatcher, and mobile data solution. Software licensing is required for each computer operating SunGard software. With the addition of police personnel and additional computers being used, the purchase of the additional licenses is required for compliance. The cost for the SunGard license is $1190.00 each, and $190.40 maintenance for each license.
Funds have been appropriated and are available from the 2014 General Obligation bonds, specifically for police mobile data. Staff recommends that the Council approve the purchase.
Cost: $49,694.40
