Title:

title

Approval of and authorization to execute Amendment Number 2 to Agreement for Professional Consulting Services with CP&Y, Inc. (dba STV Infrastructure) for the Houston Street Widening from Olive Avenue to Aspen Avenue (ST2029)

End

Background:

The Houston Street Widening from Olive Avenue to Aspen Avenue project (ST2029) is being designed by CP&Y, Inc. (dba STV Infrastructure) and is a named 2018 GO Bond, Proposition 1 Transportation Project.  The original proposed alignment must be shifted to the south to avoid conflicting with an existing 24” high pressure gas pipeline, owned by Energy Transfer, located immediately to the north of the proposed street widening. Revisions to typical sections, storm sewer, roadway alignment, driveways, retaining walls, traffic control, cross sections, pay items, summary sheets, drainage map and drainage structure details, plan and profile sheets, and signing and striping plans must be made. The Engineering & Construction Department recommends amending the original contract with CP&Y, Inc. for the amount of $148,294.00 to provide additional services including additional surveying, right-of-way support services, and realignment of the street. All redesign work should be completed within 90 days of amendment approval.
