Background:
The application period for the Citizens Engagement Academy closed with a total of 35 applicants. Per the established selection process, applicant rankings were submitted by City Council and were averaged to produce the recommended class roster.
This item is before City Council to request approval of the 20 selected applicants and authorization to notify the 5 alternates of their alternate status. Should any selected participant decline or withdraw, staff will proceed with offering available seats to alternates in priority order. Applicants not selected will be notified that their application will be considered for a future Citizens Engagement Academy.
