Background:
As the fourth largest municipality in the state of Oklahoma, the City provides numerous solid waste and recycling services to approximately 112,000 residents over 55 square miles. The City desires to identify the potential benefits and optimizations for current operations a transfer station would provide for the customers and region. Key benefits of a transfer station would be to reduce fuel consumption/emissions, create convenience for customers, and to enhance the viability of diverting more waste material from disposal. This Study is the first step in the City's overall solid waste management planning initiative.

Burns 7 McDonnell is known for a history of assisting state, regional, and local governmental entities with solid waste planning and strategy development.
A Professional Consultant Agreement has been negotiated with Burns McDonnell to review the Solid Waste and Recycling operation data and present their findings to BAMA. The negotiated amount is $49,600.00.
