Approval of and authorization to execute a single day fee reduction for the Family Aquatic Center

Background:
In celebration of July being National Parks and Recreation Month, the Broken Arrow Parks and Recreation Department will be offering a Dollar Day at the Family Aquatic Center, located at 1200 South Main Street. Residents and non-residents three years of age and older will pay only $1 to enter the Family Aquatic Center on July 29, 2015.
Children under the age of three will still be free. Normal admission fees are $4 for those under 48” and $5 for those over 48”. Average income for Wednesdays at the Family Aquatic Center is $1,291.00 Average patron count for Wednesdays is 268 people. Therefore, City Staff estimates a loss of revenue around $1,000.00.
Staff recommends approval of a single day fee reduction for the Family Aquatic Center.
