Consideration, discussion, and possible approval of the American Junior Golf Association Junior at Indian Springs hotel rebate request in an amount not to exceed $5,800
End
Background:
The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA provides valuable exposure for college golf scholarships and has an annual junior membership (boys and girls, ages 12-19) of more than 10,000 junior golfers from 50 states and 58 foreign countries. AJGA is giving junior golfers a platform to secure a college golf scholarship and assist with their overall growth and development through policies and guidelines enforced at our events.
This event was originally approved by the board in October 2025, for a rebate of $500 for every 12 room nights in an amount not to exceed $15,000.
The Event was held August 3-6, 2026, at Indian Springs Golf Course in Broken Arrow.
While they anticipated up to 350 hotel room nights, their actual hotel nights were 143, largely due to the location of Indian Springs Golf Course compared to the BA hotel options.
