Title:

title

Approval of and authorization to execute a 5-year contract with Axon Enterprises for an additional 20 licenses for Evidence.com for the Police and Fire Departments

End

Background:

The police department recently moved to Evidence.com.  Evidence.com allows for the direct upload of assets (photos, videos, surveillance footage, etc.) to their secure cloud-based digital evidence system.  Following the recent transition, the demand for additional licenses has increased.

These additional 20 licenses will provide coverage for Animal Control (8), the Fire Marshals (7), and City Legal (1), as well as having four extra licenses available for contingencies.  These licenses will enable these groups to access and fully leverage the capabilities of Evidence.com.

The first year’s cost is $9,540.61, with $4095.00 allocated to the Fire Department.  The total cost over the five-year term is $51,675.00.

Cost:                                                                $51,675.00 (FY 26 Cost - $9,540.61)

Funding Source:                     Police & Fire Departmental Operational Budgets

Requested By:                      Lance Arnold, Chief of Police

Approved By:                      City Manager’s Office
