Background:

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. National Mammography Day is Saturday, October 20, 2023.

About 1 in 8 United States women (about 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. About 2,710 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in men in 2022.  Early detection and treatment have been shown to save lives.

Staff would like to recognize current patients, survivors, and the countless advocates, medical professionals, researchers, and caregivers who dedicate their lives to fighting for a world without breast cancer.
