Approval of and authorization to rescind the contracts awarded for Concrete supply vendors for FY27
End
Background:
On June 15, 2026, the City Council approved the award of contracts to Greenhill Concrete and NexLevel Redi Mix for the supply of concrete for Fiscal Year 2027 projects under RFP 26.157 (Agenda Item 26-926).
Following the award, staff determined that several key items requiring clarification or additional pricing were inadvertently omitted from the bid specifications. These items include clarification of the delivery fee structure and pricing, as well as the addition of flow-fill products. To ensure the City receives complete, accurate, and comparable pricing for all anticipated concrete needs, staff recommends rescinding the previously awarded contracts and rebidding the project with revised specifications that address these omissions.
Staff has already begun preparing the revised bid package to facilitate an expedited rebid process and minimize any potential impact on upcoming projects.
