End

Background:

On January 30, 2024, the City of Broken Arrow opened a comprehensive survey for feedback from citizens regarding the city’s performance providing public services and seeking input on a future public infrastructure and quality of life capital improvement projects. The goal of the survey was to gain an understanding of what is important to the citizens of Broken Arrow, realize future opportunities and challenges, and use the data as a guide in the bond project selection process ahead of the upcoming General Obligation Bond Election in April 2026.

The survey was open from January 30 through February 29 and received 3,947 responses in 31 days. The results of the survey indicated citizens have an overall positive perception of the quality of life in Broken Arrow.

Citizens responded very favorably to the questions about Public Safety. Citizens rated public safety as the most important facet of Broken Arrow, and they graded it as the highest quality of service provided by the city.

This micro-survey will focus on the city’s public safety services of Police, Fire, Ambulance, and Emergency Management as the planning process continues to consider capital improvement projects for the 2026 GO Bond.
