Approval of and authorization to execute a sole source Service Agreement with SeeClickFix to provide software services for the new online citizen reporting tool and mobile application
...End
Background:
SeeClickFix is an online service that allows citizens to easily and officially report non-emergency concerns to the City. The system can be accessed online via a mobile device or a computer. Once a concern is posted, the City is notified and assignments are made to address the issue at hand. More convenient than calling, this method also gives citizens an opportunity to track their issue and verify the work has been completed.
Research has determined that citizens "see" things that need attention in the community all the time, but are not always sure how to or who to report things to. This new application will allow them to do so and track their requests once submitted. When they "see" a problem around town, they can take a picture on their mobile device ("click") and send it to the City electronically to report it and get the problem fixed.
SeeClickFix is the only complete system to provide management, reporting, analysis, alerting and public documentation of those issues and the actions taken on them through mobile web, web, and mobile app (iPhone and Android) platforms as well as integration with twitter, Facebook and Open311 API.
Funding for this service is available in the 2016/2017 budget through the Broken
Arrow Municipal Authority and City of Broken Arrow General Fund. Importantly, the Service Agreement is subject to annual appropriations. The service will be implemented in the fall of 2016. The administration will implement a comprehensive and informative public education plan to make our community aware of the application.
Cost: $25,993 annually, with a five year renewal
