Background:
In order to make necessary revisions requested by Engineering & Construction Department staff for purposes of bidding Residential Streets Concrete Panel Replacement for Vandever East 6th Addition, Turtle Creek Phase 2, Brentwood, and Meadow Heights subdivisions, staff negotiated a design amendment with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., the consulting firm responsible for design. The revisions include the following alternative rehabilitation and cost-saving strategies, in addition to complete concrete panel replacement: routing and crack sealing, partial panel patching, sawcut along the gutter (to save existing curb), sawcut to divide oversized panels to match adjacent panel joint lines.
Staff recommends approval of this design amendment.
