Background:
In September of 2023 the Oklahoma Uniform Building Code Commission (OUBCC) Technical committees were formed to review each section of the 2024 ICC Commercial Codes (2024 International Building Code, 2024 International Existing Building Code, 2024 International Plumbing Code, 2024 International Mechanical Code, and 2024 International Fuel Gas Code) and the 2023 National Electrical Code. In March of 2025 the Oklahoma Uniform Building Code Commission (OUBCC) Technical committees were formed to review each section of the 2024 IRC (International Residential Code). The City’s Chief Building Inspector was involved in these committee code reviews.
