Background:
The Central Park Estates neighborhood was selected for street repairs. The streets were built with the neighborhood in the late 1970s. The streets have reached the end of their service life are in need of extensive repair. Engineering staff negotiated an engineering contract with Walter P. Moore to design a project to address these issues.
The project was advertised June 23 and 30, 2026. Bids were opened July 21, 2026 with seven bids received, all of which were responsive. A certified bid tabulation is attached. The bids submitted were composed of eighteen (18) pay items to form the total base bid. The lowest responsible bidder was R&L Construction, LLC with a total bid of $819,541.00. The total engineer’s estimate for this project was $809,775.00.
