Background:
The Engineering and Construction Division has solicited bids for the Central Park Community Center Roof Replacement Project.
The project was advertised for two consecutive weeks and followed the 21-day bidding process. Five bids were received and opened on November 21, 2023. This bid includes the base bid and three alternatives. The apparent lowest bidder withdrew their bid on November 29, 2023. The lowest responsible bid was from Allwine Roofing & Construction, Inc. with a bid of $278,772.00 for alternative 1. The Engineer’s Estimate was $ 260,312.00. Therefore, Engineering and Construction recommends that the bid is awarded to Allwine Roofing & Construction, Inc. The Certified Bid Tabulations is attached.
