Background:
In accordance with Sec. 2-211 of the Visit Broken Arrow ordinance, a City Councilor shall be nominated and appointed to the Visit Broken Arrow Board. Council nominated Councilor Lisa Ford to fill this seat on April 18, 2023. The seat was previously held by former Councilor Scott Eudey with a term expiring on September 30, 2023.
The Strategic Plan of the Tourism Asset Inventory set forth recommendations to restructure the Visit Broken Arrow Board to include three members from the lodging/tourism industry, five members from the Broken Arrow community representing non-tourism/hospitality businesses, and one city council member or their appointee. Meetings take place on the second Tuesday of each month at 3:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
