Consideration and possible approval of the re-appointment of Mr. Mike Cooper to the Broken Arrow Economic Development Corporation (BAEDC) Board of Directors for a term beginning June 1, 2016 and expiring May 31, 2019

Background:
The bylaws of the Broken Arrow Economic Development Corporation (BAEDC) provide for nine (9) directors, three of whom shall be representatives of and selected by the Broken Arrow City Council, the Broken Arrow Board of Education, and the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee. Nominations of Directors are to be made collaboratively by the Broken Arrow City Manager, the Broken Arrow Public Schools Superintendent, and the President of the Chamber of Commerce. Nominations are then submitted to the City Council, the School Board, and the Chamber of Commerce for appointment.
Mike Cooper has been nominated by the individuals referenced above. He and his wife live in south Broken Arrow and have been residents of Broken Arrow since 1999. Mr. Cooper’s business background and network throughout Oklahoma make him an outstanding candidate to continue serving on the Broken Arrow Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors.
