Background:
HDR Engineering, Inc., will make a presentation to the Authority regarding the most effective method of renovating the Screening and Grit Removal Facilities at the Lynn Lane Wastewater Treatment Plant (LLWWTP). The preferred solution is to construct a new Headworks facility that includes grit removal and screening in one structure. The attached Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement for Professional Consultant Services with HDR is for design of the combined Headworks facility, the construction of which is estimated to cost $9,200,000.00.
The HDR agreement for design of the Headworks is for $728,802.00. Funding for Engineering will be from OWRB FAP loan FAP-16-0001-L, but funds will have to be moved from other projects. Staff recommends that the Authority approve the Amendment.
