Acknowledge the FY 2025-2027 updated Collective Bargaining Agreement with the International Association of Firefighters, Local No. 2551
End
Background:
The collective bargaining agreement between the City of Broken Arrow and the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Local No. 2551 was approved by the City Council on August 4, 2025, as a two-year agreement effective July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027.
Article 27 of the Agreement includes “me too” language providing that if the Broken Arrow Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) receives, during the term of this Agreement, (1) any across-the-board wage increase exceeding four percent (4%) and/or (2) any increase to longevity above the current schedule outlined in Article 17, the City shall amend this Agreement to provide IAFF with an equivalent increase. Such adjustment shall be applied retroactively, if necessary, subject to a maximum additional wage increase of three percent (3%) and a maximum longevity adjustment of up to two (2) times the current longevity schedule. This provision applies to both years of the two-year Agreement.
The longevity schedule as outlined in Article 17 shall be updated in accordance with the me-too agreement and attached herein.
Cost: approximate increase of $723,000
