Background:

Sprint Spectrum Realty Company, LP currently leases tower space on the 170’ free standing tower located on the east side of Tiger Hill.  Sprint has made the request to modify their current equipment that is located on this tower.  As part of this modification, they will be removing 6 runs of 1 5/8” coax cable which will remove substantial loading from the tower.

 

Sprint’s current lease rate is $2,300.00 per month. A monthly increase in rent of $225.00 has been negotiated with Sprint for this lease modification.  This Amendment was on the last council meeting of July 7, 2015, however, the proper party was inadvertently omitted in the title. As such, Staff recommends that the council ratify this Amendment to ensure maximum transparency to the public.
