Background:
The Broken Arrow Downtown Advisory Board (DAB) Ordinance found at 2-230 provides for one Broken Arrow City Council member to be appointed a member of the Downtown Advisory Board. The change being proposed to this provision of the ordinance is to allow the appointment of the City Council member to be rotated among the City Council members every four (4) years. Four years is the length of a DAB term.
Another proposed change is to Broken Arrow Code Sec. 2-233. This revision would provide that the Broken Arrow City Council member shall not sit as either the Chairman or Vice-Chairman of the DAB.
Staff recommends that the DAB approve these amendments to the Broken Arrow Code.
