End
Background:
The Fire Department has budgeted STCI funds to purchase and replace six (6) ambulance cots in fiscal year 2017. The cots being replaced are beyond the manufacturers stated service life of seven years and are in need of replacement to ensure the safety of patients. The cot manufacturer will provide a credit of $2,500 towards the purchase of new cots for each cot traded-in. By trading in the six (6) obsolete cots the City will receive a credit of $15,000 towards the next purchase of new cots.
Staff recommends the City Council approve the surplus of the cots.
