Meeting of: 07/29/24

Title:

title

Approval of and recommendation of Final Acceptance of the Drainage Advisory Committee project Galveston and Cedar Storm Sewer Improvements, original Agenda Item Number 22-731

End

Background:

The project was to improve stormwater runoff south of Galveston St. and East of Cedar. The previous condition was an old storm sewer system and open ditch that was past its life expectancy and would routinely get clogged causing water to backup north of Galveston. A new stormwater sewer system and junction box was installed alleviating the drainage issue. City crews performed the work thus saving the City approximately $28,343.72. The stormwater division is asking that $28,343.72 be moved back into the Haikey Creek Basin fund.
