End

Background:
The City of Broken Arrow is to be allocated an estimated $441,085.38 through the Tulsa County Urban County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program for Federal Fiscal Year 2025 (FFY2025). This grant program is funded through the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and is administered locally through the Indian Nations Council of Governments (INCOG). City staff has identified a project to fund through this year's grant application. The project identified is located in low to moderate income area of the city and is more particularly described as follows: Residential street asphalt repair and resurfacing on College Street from 9th Street to east of the 12th Street intersection. This project is street rehabilitation work including mill and overlay, driveway approach repair and other miscellaneous improvements. All funding above the estimated CDBG monies necessary to construct the identified project will be the responsibility of the City. Currently the City's estimated share will be approximately $88,000.000 and can be available from Street Sales Tax funds. Staff recommends approval and execution of the 2025 CDBG application including Resolution 1646 as well as the application certification.
