A public hearing regarding the annexation of property located in the West Half of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter (W/2 NW/4 NW/4) of Section Nine (9), Township Seventeen (17) North, Range Fourteen (14) East of the Indian Base and Meridian, Tulsa County, State of Oklahoma, and generally located on the Southeast corner of 131st Street and 129th East Avenue (Olive) and being adjacent to and abutting 131st Street and 129th Street East Avenue (Olive)

Background:
Upon request of the current property owner, City Staff is recommending annexation of 14 acres of land located in the West Half of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter (W/2 NW/4 NW/4) of Section Nine (9), Township Seventeen (17) North, Range Fourteen (14) East of the Indian Base and Meridian, Tulsa County, State of Oklahoma, and generally located on the Southeast corner of 131st Street and 129th East Avenue (Olive) and being adjacent to and abutting 131st Street and 129th Street East Avenue (Olive).
Currently this 14 acre tract of land is undeveloped and zoned AG (agriculture) in Tulsa County, Oklahoma. The proposal is to demolish the current structures on the property, have the property re-zoned to Heavy Commercial (HC) Level 3 and Level 6, and develop a storage facility, convenience store and a single multi-family district.
The attached Amended Legal Notice of Annexation was approved by the City Council in their meeting of August 4, 2015, and was mailed in accordance with the provisions of Title 11, Section 21-103. This Amended Legal Notice of Annexation advised all affected property owners within 300 feet of the annexation. Further, publication was accomplished in accordance with the provisions of this statute. Staff recommends that the Council conduct the Public Hearing.
