Background:
As a part of the 2018 GO Bond Residential Rehabilitation program, The Oak Tree Estates neighborhood was selected for repairs. The Streets were built with the neighborhood in approximately 1980. The streets have reached the end of their service life and are in need of extensive repair.
The project was advertised March 10 and March 17, 2026. Bids were opened April 7, 2026 with five bids received, all of which were responsive. A certified bid tabulation is attached. The bids submitted were composed of twenty-six (26) pay items to form the total base bid. The lowest responsible bidder was Cherokee Pride Construction, Inc. with a total bid of $1,637,624.00. The total engineer’s estimate for this project was $2,246,705.00.
