Background:
The City of Broken Arrow solicited proposals for Bid No. 26.161, Natural Gas Commodity Supply, to provide natural gas commodity service for City facilities served by Oklahoma Natural Gas (ONG). The purpose of the Request for Proposals (RFP) was to obtain competitive pricing and establish a supply agreement that provides reliable service and cost stability for the City’s large-volume natural gas accounts. The selected supplier will provide the natural gas commodity, while ONG will continue to provide distribution, metering, and transportation services.
The solicitation was advertised in the Tulsa World on June 10 and June 17, 2026, posted on the City’s website, and distributed to seventeen (17) vendors. Four (4) proposals were received.
Following an evaluation of the proposals, staff recommends awarding Bid No. 26.161 to Symmetry Energy Solutions based on its 36-month fixed, all-in price of $3.64 per dth, as submitted in its proposal. Staff determined that Symmetry Energy Solutions submitted the most advantageous responsive and responsible proposal for the selected 36-month pricing option.
