Title:
title
Consideration, discussion, and possible action to recommend to City Council to expend construction funds to mitigate the erosion and re-establish the ditch along W. Freeport St. (Case No. 25-013)
End
Background:
The project is located at 319 W. Freeport St. in Old Town Broken Arrow at the southeast corner of W. Freeport St. and N. Cedar Ave. Street runoff flows west along Freeport St. and through the applicant’s front yard and driveway. The runoff from the street has washed out the gravel driveway causing craters, inundates the backyard, and gets into the applicant’s shed.
The ditch along the road appears to have silted in. Curb and gutter along Cedar St. appears to be blocking the flow, diverting the street runoff onto the applicant’s property causing adverse impacts.
Staff is requesting $20,000.00 of the 2018 General Obligation Bond Proposition 6 for mitigating the erosion and re-establishing the ditch along W. Freeport St.
This area flows to Haikey Creek.
