Background:
Unit 2036, a 2020 Dodge Durango AWD SUV Police Patrol vehicle utilized by the City of Broken Arrow Police Department since acquisition in March of 2020 for the price of approximately $32,000. 2036 was involved in a collision with a citizen vehicle on July 14, 2026. The unit was struck by the citizen vehicle on the driver’s side when the citizen vehicle ran a red light. The resulting collision caused considerable damage to unit 2036 in excess of 50% of the unit’s total valuation, resulting the citizen’s insurance company (Progressive) declaring the vehicle a total loss.
Progressive Group of Insurance Companies declared the unit to be a total loss and made an offer of $16,737.06 to make the loss whole for claim number 26-279921637-02.
