The City of Broken Arrow has entered into a formal Sisterhood Agreement with the Municipality of Rincón de Romos, Aguascalientes, Mexico. The agreement is intended to promote economic development, tourism, education, cultural exchange, and municipal cooperation.
In conjunction with this effort, we have received a formal invitation from Mayor Erick Muro Sánchez, President Municipal of Rincón de Romos, inviting representatives from the City of Broken Arrow to attend the Festival Nacional de la Birria 2026, which will be held on September 12 and 13, 2026. The invitation expresses their desire to welcome representatives from Broken Arrow to this annual cultural and culinary festival as they continue strengthening the relationship between our two communities. The festival celebrates the region’s heritage, traditions, and renowned birria cuisine. Mayor Erick Muro Sánchez indicated that our presence would be an honor for their community and an important step toward building a lasting partnership.
