Background:

Arbor Day is observed annually throughout the nation and the world.  The purpose of Arbor Day is to recognize the importance of trees in our environment and to encourage all residents to support efforts to protect our trees and woodlands. The Council’s approval of the Arbor Week Proclamation is an important aspect of the City’s continued status as a Tree City U.S.A.  The City of Broken Arrow is celebrating its 26th year as a Tree City U.S.A. Community
