Approval of and authorization to purchase one (1) Chevrolet Tahoe from Carter Chevrolet for the Fire Department pursuant to the Oklahoma Statewide Contract SW0035
End
Background:
The Fire Department has identified the Chevrolet Tahoe as the preferred vehicle for purchase as we continue to outfit command and admin vehicles with 4x4 capabilities along with vehicles that have dual batteries to handle our lighting and radio electrical loads. Pursuant to the State Contract, Carter Chevrolet can provide the Chevrolet Tahoe with the identified options at $55,772.00. Carter Chevrolet is the only vendor local that has a current 2024 Chevy Tahoe for purchase in the Police Pursuit Package (PPV) immediately.
Funds have been appropriated in the amount of $75,000.00 for the purchase of this vehicle.
The Fire Department recommends that the Council approve the purchase of this Chevrolet Tahoe from Carter Chevrolet.
