Notification of road closure at the intersection of 9th (Lynn Lane) and Washington

End

Background:

Cherokee Pride Construction, LLC has entered into an agreement with the City of Broken Arrow to widen the intersection at 9th and Washington. During construction it was determined that there was not enough room to squeeze the traffic to safely mill and overlay each section of the road. The first two shutdowns will happen northbound out of the intersection from 0900 - 1600. The next day the eastbound traffic out of the intersection will be closed from 0900-1600. This will allow for the safe construction practice of mill and overlaying.  Several weeks later after the intersection work on the northwest quadrant is nearing completion, the contractor will shut down northbound traffic from 0900-1600 and the next day westbound traffic will be shut down from 0900-1600. Next will be the southwest quadrant repeating the shut down process. Finally, the southeast quadrant will be shutdown in the same way. This shutdown will be the safest and fastest way to tie in the intersection work with the existing road.
