Approval of and authorization to execute a Parks and Recreation Use Agreement between the City of Broken Arrow and the Broken Arrow Volleyball Club
End
Background:
The attached use agreement grants a non-exclusive license to allow the Broken Arrow Volleyball Club (BAVC) to use the Nienhuis Park Community Center Gym Annex located at 3201 North 9th Street in Broken Arrow. The use of the Gym Annex is to allow BAVC, a registered non-profit organization, to operate a youth volleyball league on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The following are highlights of the Agreement
• BAVC will pay a sum of $10 per gym per hour to the City of Broken Arrow.
• BAVC will supply their own support personnel including, but not limited to, referees, volunteers, and coaches.
• All coaches and volunteers will undergo a criminal background screening according to the Parks and Recreation Criminal Background Check Policy.
• BAVC’s term for usage will commence upon execution and end on November 21, 2015.
Staff recommends that the Council approve the Use Agreement and authorize its execution.
