Approval of and authorization to reject all bids to the Roof Replacement for the Central Park Community Center Building (Project 216002)

Background:
The Engineering and Construction Division has solicited bids for the Central Park Community Center Roof Replacement Project.
The project was advertised for two consecutive weeks and followed the 21-day bidding process. One bid was received and opened on August 24th, 2023. The one bid received for this project was over budget. The bid was then extended for 15 days to work though pricing and funding options. However, a satisfactory conclusion was not reached. Therefore, Engineering and Construction recommends that the bid is rejected. Engineering and Construction will work to revise the plans and bid the project again to bring the project within budget.
