Background:
At the request of the property owner, the City of Broken Arrow is proposing to annex 14 acres generally located on the Southeast corner of 131st Street and 129th East Avenue (Olive) and being adjacent to and abutting 131st Street and 129th Street East Avenue (Olive).

Pursuant to Title 11, Section 21-103 of the Oklahoma Statutes, the Council must direct publication of a Notice of Annexation in a legally qualified newspaper of general circulation fourteen (14) days prior to the public hearing notifying the property owners abutting any public right-of-way that forms the boundary of the territory of the proposed property to be annexed.

This item was previously considered by City Council on July 21, 2015. In order to comply with state statutes regarding the timing of mailing of the notice, the preview of the ordinance, and the public hearing it was required to change the preview date of the ordinance to 18th of August, 2015, and the republication of the Notice.
