Approval of and authorization to execute a memorandum of understanding with Union Public Schools authorizing Union Public Schools security personnel to assist with traffic direction on roadways adjacent to school property before and after school and during special district events

Background:

It will be mutually advantageous to have support from Union Public Schools security staff when it comes to directing traffic on roadways adjacent to school property. Such an arrangement will benefit both the City of Broken Arrow and Union Public Schools regarding traffic management, an active threat, and the day-to-day safety and/or security issues arising at Union school sites. Union Public Schools is seeking authorization to direct traffic on streets adjacent to school property before or after school and during special district events.
